adat edit dropouts

anyone else expirience this when transfering tracks from adat to pc? i consistantly loose samples on tracks. i have to keep trying over and over till i get it. usually it is when doing multiple tracks at once. i have a 1ghz with 512mb ram. what is the cause of this? is it clocking?

It could very well be a clocking issue. the computer should be the slave, clocking to the incoming ADAT optical signal. It could also be a driver problem.

thanks man! i went to my settings/device manager on my puter and changed the adat edit card to external clock. that fixed it right up. the adat connect software still controls the adat transport, but it works perfect every time now.
