ADAT cable - how long is too long?

Hi there,

how long can you go with a "good quality" ADAT (TOSLINK) cable?

I like the idea of having the added mobility for my behr.ADA8000 but obv. dont want to introduce a source of errors into the system.

any idea?

I've been using a set of four fifteen footers' since day one with no errors.
Here's a ref. from Alesis- 50' might be about max.

You might want to keep the ADA8000 as master though. Here's a good one on that.
