So....if I purchase a Behringer UB2442FX-Pro Mixer and the M Audio Delta 44...I will be able to record 4 or more tracks simultaneously into Cool Edit Pro?...I'm still kinda confused on how this works. Does the AD Converter conver the signals coming from the mixer into the soundcard and split into the tracks in Cool Edit?...

Help!!

Thanks!

Don't know about that mixer... you need some way to get four independnt signals out of it. I have a Behringer MX1604A and it has two stereo busses, so I can do it with mine if I need to. Some mixers have independent line-level outputs for each mixer channel, or other arrangements of subgroup outputs.

The Delta 44 has four independnt analog-to-digital converters on the inputs. From within Cool Edit (Cool Edit Pro only -- not Coll Edit 2000), you would see these four inputs as possible choices for recording sources. You would simply arm or prepare four tracks and have each one use one of the inputs as its source.
