AD-Converter question

Hello,
I want to upgrade from my Sekd Siena recordingcard (AKM
AK4524 converter) to a more professional system including better AD-Converters.
Searching for affordable units I detected:
1. Hoontech System III (Crystal CS5396/97 ADCs)
2. RME Multiface System
3. Swissonic (Sonorus) AD24 and perhaps an rme card
4. Midiman Delta 1010 (AKM AK5383 ADCs)
hm, Im primarily interested in the quality of the ad-conversion.
Please help me to decide,

How many channels do you need? If one is enough, I'd think a dedicated A/D converter (Swissonic, Lucid) would be better...
 
I have to record my (metal)band, so I need (at least) 8 channels (drumkit...).
 
I really don't know your current soundcard, but a Delta 1010 should be quite a step up...
Swissonic/Lucid converters on 8 channels would be very expensive! What's your budget??
 
I think that the siena is comparable to the terratec ews88mt, midiman delta66, hoontech c-port (at least they use the same converters).
I dont wanna pay more than 1000$.
The swissonic ad24 (not the ad96) doesnt cost too much (about 600 $ in germany).
Comparing the units the swissonic and the hoontech system (adcIII) SEEM ;) to have best technical data, but the swissonic just supports up to 48 khz sample rates.

A/D - Swissonic or RME or MOTU
Hello, for a long time, i am asking, looking for a better a/d converter. and
dont know what to buy.

should i buy the MOTU 2408mk3
or the RME multiface
or the SWISSONIC ad 24 mk2 with rme DIGI9636

you use any of this brands ?
 
Using an RME ADI-8 AE with an RME digi9652. Nice combination.

Swissonic was to expensive for me. So I added the rme adi to my hammerfall.
 
u can get the lynxtwo for approx 1000 and its hands down the best ADA sound card out
 
Does the Sta audio M-port 8i/o interface compete with the q10? They seem to be similar.
