Acoustic Treatment Question

Check out a guy called Ethan winners product that is in my opinion better than that. Im sure he will be along soon to give you the link.

Haven't tried one but my gut feeling is that it isn't a magic bullet that will fix all the room woes.

If you are wanting to record vocals (which is what that gadget appears to be geared toward), then a few 703 or mineral wool based panels on movable stands around the vocalist would do a far better job than 'Auralex on all the walls' for a lot less money.

I think the guy in that video is just trying to sell their product don't you think. Also, doesn't the room need a little bit of reverb.

bpape the panels you mentioned, can they be made with stuff you buy at lowes or home depot? i'm 8 years old so my budget is not that much.

Obviously he's trying to sell the product, and what's the best way to sell a product?... Prove it works. It obviously works, and better than the competing product.

And you can add the room reverb later. In some situations you do want a dead sound, and others you can add the reverb later.

No, and no you're not. Did you mean 18? Just buy 703 or rigid fiberglass of some sort. It's not expensive. I've just found 10 panels for £27($50) in the uk. It's cheaper in the us i think.

no 8. i was born in 1999.

i looked up 703 on yahoo it wont come up with any pictures of the item u were talking about. also that realtraps the video it was expensive.

thank u very much.

What date? And here is 703. It's insulation which you frame and wrap in fabric.

february 5th.

hey thank u very much.

that looks like the insulation thingy at homedepot. it has fibers on it huh? all those glass pieces its pretty messy right, i'd need a glove right? what can i put over it? i think that would do better than the auralex because its spongy.

8 years old? and you're asking about treating a studio? I think when I was 8 I was more worried about which video game I was going to buy with my allowance....but then again, I'm still more worried about that I guess

So you were six years old when you joined here??????????
Wow, I graduated college in 1999 :)

Don't think we had the internet (Al Gore had't invented it yet) when I was 8...

Firstly, just wow. I'm amazed at this boy. 8 years old and he's already looking up on how to build a studio on the internet. :) It's just amazing.

Secondly, um, Al Gore didn't invent the internet, Tim Berners-Lee did...

ummmm, the Al Gore thing was a JOKE! But yeah, I'm not sure this kid is really eight years old, possible 12 or 13, but not eight.

Either my sarcasm detector failed, or you forgot to put an obligatory smiley near the word "Al Gore". :P

Cheers!
