Good song. Guitar sounds real good and vocals are good too.

Quite a bit of background noise/hiss. When the vocals come in, you can hear it, and when they stop it goes back down a little. Not really a big deal though.

Other than that it sounds good to me.

How'd you record the guitar?

listening to it now. good tune. well done. i do have one comment though. it sounds like there's overtones on the guitar. how did you record it? did you just put the mic in front of the hole or what?

for the guitar, i just put a crappy dynamic mic above the 12th fret pointed about 45 degrees towards the 21st fret. Then, a kick drum mic about a foot away from the bridge pointed diagonally. im not really sure what overtones are though.

well i read that if you mic a guitar directly in front you get too much sound coming at the mic for it to pick up properly and you get tones that don't help the sound at all. but if you mic'd it on an angle like you said, that's not the problem. although i like to mic a guitar from the bridge area pointed at the hole at like a 50 degree angle or so. anyway, it sounds good so not a big deal.

I like the song. The guitar's got a percussive, kind of thumpy sound that suits the song. I'd cut the guitar a couple dB's around 300 Hz (ideally with a multiband comp so it can sound rich still during the quiet parts) and use a deesser on the vocal.

Sounds like pretty old strings on the guitar.

I like the song's arrangement and chord progression, and like the guitar's sound also. There's a little background noise, and the guitar has a slight rattle at some points (either a buzzing string, or a loose key), but otherwise, it was good. The track has a raw sound I like.

Reminds me of a smashing pumpkins' song.
Nicely done.
Does need a de esser & some treatment as suggested by Timothy L.
Good progression & development.
I'm unconvinced by the ongoing nature of the backing vocal. A more judicious use of b/vox may be called for. They sound to me like you had someone there who had nothing else to do so they kept at it. Experiment with the fader & use the vocal to dramatize parts of but not all the chorus.
Good song.

I agree pretty much with the previous posters regarding the guitar.
Good vocals on this tune also. Slight de-esser would help or maybe take down the high eq a bit to try an tame it. Background vocals are equally as well performed as the lead. What mic are you using on the vocals?

:) :D :) :D

Nice vox feel and mood to the song.
Guitar sounds too boomy and roomy on my system. Take Mr. Lawler's advice and try using EQ to lower somewhere between 250-500Hz. That should do the trick.
Vox may get a bit harsh on the high end at louder times, maybe just drop that a higher frequencies above 5k or so...
Cool tune

It reminds me a lot of some stuff from the local scene here a few years ago. I like it.
