A freind of mine has a marshal halfstack (avt150 or something I think). One channel is an acoustic simulator channel. I really like the sound considering it is coming from an amplified electric. I was wondering how do they go about getting this "simulation". It's more than just EQ. I've found now BOSS makes a similar pedal. Though I haven't heard one, I guess they'd use a similar technique to Marshall. My question is, How can I "simulate" this acoustic "simulation" ?
Thanks

I tried the Boss pedal. It sounded kinda cool but not acoustic at all. I'd like something that would do a better job of it if anyone has a suggestion.

Aren't you just talking about the Clean channel? I wasnt aware of Marshall using any modeling in their amps.

The best you can do is a middle or neck position pickup on a clean channel. Anything else is a gimmick and a waste of money. You would be better off buying a Taylor Big Baby acoustic for less than $300 and getting the real thing.
