I was just wondering how everyone records there acoustics?

What kind of miking techiniques and what not.

I use XY, ORTIF, or spaced pair on solo acoustic using SD mics. Sometimes I have a third omni several feet back as a room mic.

In a mix with other instruments and vox I usually use a single LD about 12" - 18" out from the neck joint.

i use a LDC close to the sound hole and sometimes i also go direct to give a fuller sound.

My best results have been a bright LDC where the neck meets body about 8" out, darker LDC over right shoulder pointing down at bridge, combined with piezo direct (and not "time-aligned"). Keep in mind, however, I have a circa 1976 Ovation, so it's got it's own kinda sound.

The neck LDC and piezo are panned opposite, the over the shoulder panned off center. Makes for a nice little spaciousness. Sums well to mono. Have to get rid of a bunch of lower midrange with the Ovation, however.

I'm looking forward to getting some C4's, and doing some XY and omni stuff ;-).

Best position lately has been AT4040 down from and below the body, aimed at the sound hole, with an ADK SC1 or MXL 603 at the 12th fret.
