My Washburn has died. Can anyone advice me on a budget guitar that sounds good. I kid you not for 100 pounds. Any help will do.

I know thats not possible but help me make it possible! Desparate.

:o

It depends, i may be able to help you but are you looking for an acoustic steel string or nylon steel string? I don't know much about nylon but if i had to say something i would go with a nice yamaha nylon string

If its a steel string i would go with an alvarez.

Guitar died?

Was your guitar an electronic one or acoustic? How did it die out?

You should be able to get a decent sounding (albeit plywood top) acoustic from fender, alvarez, epiphone, etc. for $200-$300 American dollars. I would recommend the Alvarez though. I've used a couple different ones over the years and they've been great. I Actually use an Alvarez Yaari (model Dy-74) currently (and probably forever). The Yaari is definately not a budget guitar though.

Hi there.

Well thanks for the advice. My Washburn had come from asia. It did not sit well in freezing cold Scotland..The neck caved in the hole! which raized the strings so high up that the only chord that played in tune was G!

However, I took it to a Guitar shop, they said never in million years would it be fixed... must have happened on the plane...we`ll have a look at it though...

I came back at the weekend, all fixed for a 20 quid! no problemo............

still I fancied a new puppy. A really great heavy, thick wall of sound that I could mic up.

Anyway, bye
