I have a 12x10 square bedroom for a studio. It's all I have access to, as of now. I know it needs treatment, but am unsure of what kind of foam to use and how to treat it. what are some good brands and types of acoustic foam? Or any good how to websites about this?
Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

You're not going to need foam. Broadband trapping -- LOTS of it.

On the reasonably cheap, you can use bags of Roxul Safe n Sound. Just leave 'em right in the bags, stack two in each corner. That'll get you started (although you're need more to really make a serious impact).

You can make cloth frames to cover the bags...

www.gikacoustics.com -- www.realtraps.com -- Start with those.

If you *do* need any foam (even some properly-treated spaces need a sheet or two to knock down a crazy ping occasionally), Auralex is quite good and disturbingly inexpensive for the quality. Stay away from the super-cheap crap (mostly because it's super-cheap crap).

Hey Hank, welcome to the forum. :)

You will be best served by reading all of the 'stickies' at the top of each forum category. They will likely sum up a lot of the questions you have been asking here.

Never a bad thing to ask questions (you will get a few members' quick answers), but always a good idea to read the 'stickies' as they contain much more detail from multiple members over time. That is why we make them 'stuck' at the top. :D
