I know acid is geared more twords looping....and vegas is geared twords video production....but people have told me vegas is better for recording audio, why is it? I mean....acid is mainly for looping but it CAN record...so why use the video software over the audio looping software?

I prefer to use Vegas for my tracking, and I prefer Acid for my arrangement and creation.

It really depends on the user, the number of IN's that you need, phase, etc......

;)

Peace...

One big reason is that you can only record a single (stereo) track at a time in ACID.

vegas is much more a multitrack app than acid. The whole aradigm is different. Theres no limit on simultaneous tracks and I/O for instance. Editing is WAY different. For best results, youll want both tho. Dont worry about the "video "part of it. The initial vegas userbase was all audio guys
