acid(screenblast) won't playback

help i cannot play back in acid.
i get this error
The playback device Microsoft Sound Mapper is in use by another application.
strange considering it is the only app running..
I'm waiting on sony support but that could take ages.

I have XP
with Audiophile 2496

Other sound apps work..

Try using your Windows Classic Driver

a demo of soundforge was using wave mapper..

Now I'm getting no sound from video..
no matter what app i use

What apps are you using?

Adobe premiere for video editing
cubase for recording etc
acid for loops

with quick time
windows media player
Real player

running windows XP

video does not work in any of above apps
