I have posted this before, thought the problem went away on it's own, but now it's back.
When I record on ACID, I "often" get a real noisy signal, you can still hear the track, just with lots of noises and real low volume. Now, I know it has nothing to do w/ my soundcard, signal chain or whatnot cuz it works PERFECTLY everytime I record in SoundForge. This mess only happens when I use ACID, and the funny thing is that it "sometimes" does it and it "sometimes" records fine.
It's like I gotta pet ACID before I record, sometimes I would do a short test recording, ok, it sounds fine, gotta record while that baby is still sleeping, and after recording a 3 min solo, I find out it's been a waste...errrr....
Worst of all, a beatiful short piano track i did while back, everything sounds lovely in the begining, I sat back enjoying the establishment and about 30 secs into the song, beeeeezzzzz.....like someone just tried to pull my cables out but didn't pull it out all the way to stop the signal while adding crazy noises!!! and the noises disappear after like 10 seconds. Great, now I gotta do some serious cut&paste to fix that track.....
Any thoughts, anyone??? This is really pising me off!
