Acid Pro Loops?

Hope this is not a really stupid question...I use PA9 to record, SF 6.0 to edit, and Cd Arch. to master. I recently got Acid Pro, and i'v taken a look at it. What exactly do they mean by " loop" based program. I do read the help menu's on new programs, to try to get the basics, but i really can't get this program to do much other then change the tempo of whatever file i have pulled up...I'm sure i'm missing something, thought mabey someone could speed up my progress..

Drag the right side of any WAV file that's set as a loop (as opposed to a one-shot), and you'll get the idea.

Once you become acclimated with Acid Pro......

You'll find yourself doing most of your arrangement and sequences in Acid.
