Well I am finally getting the hang of Acid Pro 3.0. Its pretty damn Nice.

Well I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to take sample I made into a wav file and chop it up into pieces?

Also anybody got some .WAV CDs with Hot drum kits on um I can get from ya???

Plus is there a program out there that I can take an MP3 or whatever other kind of sound file and convert it into a .WAV File?

Thanks in Advance. ONE

re- loop cutting

Hi, sorry, cant help you with the sample disks but I do know two very good programs to help you with your other questions-
1)Wave Surgeon from Circle Square software is the best for chopping up loops into component parts, it works in stereo or mono as well and can then export all the slices as wavs or direct to your sampler. Have a look at www.wavesurgeon.com
2) SCMPX is a very handy player/utility that will encode and decode to and from wav/mp3 You can get it for free at www.sonicspot.com I have never had a prob with it and its only about a 1/2 meg download.

Hope that helps,

1) Load the file in Acid 3.0.

Highlight the WAV. file

Select the point of the WAV. file at the chop-point (left click).

Right click the WAV. file and select split (or press the letter S).

OR....................................................

You can DRAW and TRUNCATE the WAV. file at whatever point you wish.

You can even "draw out" a small portion of the WAV. file, then HOLD the ALT button to make the rest of the WEAV. file scroll through the small section you "drew out".

2) Sound Forge 4.5, 5.0, or 6.0.

You can also use Sound Forge, for Question #1.

P.S. You can use Sound Forge as the EDITOR for Acid. ;)

If you need more info, get my attention in the Hip-Hop Forum.

Peace............

Hey Tony! You got them Amish shakin' their asses out there in Lancaster yet?!!! ;):D

I'm originally from Pittsburgh... not too far from your neck of the woods.

wav to mp3

I have Acid music 3.0 which is below the level that Acid pro 3.0 is (I think). You should be able to bring a wav file into acid pro and then just render it as an mp3 or any file type for that matter.
On Acid music if I bring in a wav file and stretch it out to the full song, then go to file....render as....and then save as file type...you should be able to choose mp3 as a type. Then you just need to use the template to decide how good of an mp3 quality you want. I assume its the same set up in Acid Pro...its the same way in Vegas Audio also. Hope this helped with that issue!

MP3 to .wav or vice versa.....

..you could use Sound Forge to reformat from MP3 to wave.

Even the XP series of sound forge will do that.

There is also AWave/RazorLame I forgot what the download name is but if you look at www.twocows.com or www.hitsquad.com under the audio apps you will find it and its a small download.
It will convert just about any audio format to any other.
The free demo version only does one file at a time, though.

Sound Forge is the editor of choice for Acid and is usually bundled with Acid.
