Help please

I have a korg sp-250 keyboard hooked up via MIDI USB everything is fine but when I play back sound that I recorded it plays back via keyboard speaker and not through the laptop. How do I fix this problem?

You need to do some reading.

MIDI isn't sound. MIDI is instructions. If you have recorded MIDI, then you've just recorded a series of instructions on your laptop on how something, in this case your keyboard, is to be played. When you play it back, it just triggers that sequence of instructions from your keyboard. Try changing the patch on your keyboard and it will just play the same thing with new sounds. Get it? You haven't recorded sound.

If you want to record audio, then record audio. You cannot do that with a MIDI cable, you need to get actual audio into your DAW program from the instruments audio outs. That's another topic in itself.
