yeah

well actually it's more of a crack......just where the bell starts it's about 1cm & you can hardly see it......................but I can hear it

I've attempted to fix cymbals in the past BUT I was interested to see what you guys have experienced & done about it

fortunately it's a cheapy that sounded nice hence the purchase

it's a stagg

so I don't really care to much about it other than it sounds good

The best advice I can give is to drill either side to keep the crack from growing...

Damn...broke-assed bitch. I can dig enough change out of my sofa to buy a whole set of Staggs. Stop smokin' crack long enough to save the $40 for a new one.

You really cannot fix a splash! Too thin!

A crash, maybe. A ride...eh!

Start looking for a new splash that can take a pounding and you will be happier. Something along Zildjian A's, Sabian or Ufip. Stick with the professional series of the top manufacturers and go for quality. It will last.

I once had a Zildjian splash that started cracking around the bell. My guitarist thought he could fix it by brazing the crack. We put it on the stand after he brazed it and it shattered on the 2nd hit! It slid down the stand and hit the floor.

It was very funny!!!!

ahem you punk assed bitch

I have 2x A custom 10"s, a 6" sabian & an istanbul 12"china splash

go figure you twat munching pillock

yeah I figured it'd be to thin to fix but as I said I'm not bothered about it cos it's so cheap & WAS incredibly cheerful

I'm a bit of a snob....................but if it sounds good!!!!!!! I'll buy it (if I've got the cash)

& $40 I'd say you're being ripped off Mr. Big heid, even for a stagg

It's done. It will never again sound as it did before it was broken. Time for a new cymbal, unless you like the trashy effect.

yes I know

I am a fan of the ol' multi cymbal thing a la' Terry Bozzio

so I'm not completely pissed

the only reason I actually purchased the Stagg is because my local music shops are closing & there was a reduction in price & it just sounded good, otherwise I would never have bought it.........................I'm a zildjian man with the odd paiste & sabian

Oh so now Paiste is odd?!?!? Why you.......... :D

You can try the drilling advice, but I'm afraid she's a goner.

I only buy eccentric cymbals :p ....................it's a baby 2002 black label dated 1979!!!!!! got a stamp on it...................BTW it's a 20" crash :D

I'm gonna layer it along with other cymbals for some serious trashiness ;)

Everytime I read this thread's title, I read "I've split my gash"......
