Tomorrow I have the choice to pick up a Phonic MR4243 32 Channel console tomorrow for half its retail price.

Has anyone used one of these desks before, or heard reviews on them? I dont want it to be a waste!

Thanks for any help you can give me =]

I've never heard anyone bragging about them. I also haven't heard anybody really slamming them either. Does that have direct outs as well as inserts on all channels. I have 4 mixers I only use a 32 ocassionally. I tend to use one for preamps and do most of my mixing in the box.

I noticed a few of the phonics come with computer interface does this one?

Maybe someone will step in with the dirt on this unit.

I'm probably wrong, but I heard someone refer to Phonic products as the Berringer of Malaysia"

Basically Phonic is to Behringer what Behringer is to everyone else.

Scary.

It can be tempting, but don't get overly excited by the "half price" offer. Because something is half price does not necessarily mean it is a good value or a good deal. You can usually find a better value by spending a bit more on a mixer of higher quality.

Lucky for me, the guy turned down the deal :D

Still working hard to find myself a nice 32 channel desk for cheap in the UK.

a 24 would even do, just need the 8 bus!

Oh how i would love to have money :@

The music store down the street from me sells everything all the time for half of the manufacturer's suggested retail. I don't know of anyone who actually pays MSRP. In fact, I defy you to even find it for sale for that price.

It's the oldest marketing trick in the book.
