I had seen in many cases, most used gear in this items are the alesis adat. Why?
the most multitracks (tascam or fostex) has a adpator to adat conectors both, digital and optical.
we could to say that alesis adat are superior than tascam or fostex multitracks systems?
is or not a tascam Da-88 a great machine?
if you have to buy which will be the option?

I'm sure the tascam and fostex units are great machines. Lots of people have used (and use) ADATs, so I think that may be why you see more of them on the used market these days.
While I don't think ADAT is generally any better or worse ... I do think there's a better chance of finding a compatible studio that can play the tapes, if needed. So, if I had a choice between two used machines ... I'd probably choose an ADAT. This is just my opinion, though.

I understand Adat is a 20 bit system. I've seen that all tascam system (newest) are 24 bit.
Equally I suposse that difference ( 4 bit) are irrelevant to human ear, but, the sound could suffer some degradation? is technically detectable this difference?
