Okay, I'm not sure... but I have the feeling I could enhance samples i have, they don't have the vinyl crackles etc or any real noticable noise that's harsh sounding. But I try using the smoothing option in sounforge and it sorta makes a drum hit sound better, but takes form the dynamics noticably, as in the drum wont hit as hard etc.
Overall I'm just wondering what you all do for the samples you use, do you do anything to clean the old dusty feeling of it, or to enhance it in anyway before looping it for a beat etc...?
This would mean alot to know. because I'd like to get the most out of my sounds and the clearest possible sounds. I've tried sonic Foundry's noise reduction and it doesn't seem to really make much difference, just slightly changes how my drums sound.
Please let me know anything you can about this.
Thanks, Peeeeze!
