ableton live 9 Lite recording problem

I have come across a big problem in ableton lite 9 and wonder if anyone can help ? I have amplitube 4 running as a plugin on audio track, I can hear the sound from ampliTube 4 but when I try and arm the track I keep getting this message " The folder " Temp project" in C":\program files (x86)" cannot be created" so basically it won't record .

Sounds like a permissions problem, and you have a working temp folder in your program install directory. If you are having problems recording anything in Ableton, try setting up another temp folder and point Ableton to that folder. You could launch Ableton with system privileges, I don't recommend that, but it is a quick check.

Program folders are protected more than other folders (like a temp under documents) to protect your system from viruses.

Yeah, my Ableton Live 9 Lite temporary folder is pointing to C:\Users\[myusername]\Documents\Ableton\Live Recordings\. Pointing it to somewhere inside C:\Program Files (x86)\ isn't a good idea.
