Aardvark Direct Pro's system inputs. Why one works, others don't?

Just curious...I haven't read any explanation in the simple manual literature yet, but I have definite problems getting decent record levels of instruments in the Aardvark Direct Personal Studio System box when plugging an instrument into any line other than the first one.

Seems logical of course that to assign various channels to different instruments allows for settings to be set, rather than recalled. Does anyone have any reason why I could be getting such low input signal from the other inputs??? Thanks....

Have you looked at your mixer settings (i.e. gain) for each channel? If they are all the same, but you are getting different input levels between inputs (assuming the same input source in each test), there may be a problem with the hardware.

I had my mic lhz in the first input and a guitar in the second, and that worked okay. Made me wonder if by default you have to use the first one...

I'll pay particular attention to what you're saying here Heinz. Hopefully its not a hardware problem...but, it seems to me that I might have a problem. From what I gather just from the registration card, etc., exchanging faulty hardware may not be that easy with Aardvark... Thanks....
