Obviously there is a major difference in price... but I want to know what card performs the best. So far the Aardvark looks like it is slightly ahead. I have never heard these two separate cards. If anyone has sound clips, that would be great! I'm deciding between these two. They both have the same number of inputs and outputs that I need.

With the Aardvark, you wouldn't necessarily need a mic preamp. I think with the Delta 44, however, it would be highly recommended that you get a preamp in addition to the card. I was planning on getting a Mackie mixer anyhow (this could be used as a preamp? no?).

the Aardvark....but not by much.....the preamps and onboard DSP effects are a big plus, as well as included recording software.....
