I emailed tech support at Aardvark checking on the ETA of the next release of Windows 2000 drivers for my LX6 (and 2496, etc). I had been told previously they expected to release them in the middle of May. Update as of 5 minutes ago: ETA 2-6 weeks.

I've been LOVING Windows 2000 and the stability it provides. The only time I need to reboot is when I have issues with the Aardvark not performing properly...

Just for those of you who don't know, Aardvark Time's "2-6 weeks" means they'll be out in December. It's kind of like dog years.

KaBudokan, the 2000/XP drivers have been up on the Aaredvark website since April. Are you waiting for a newer release? I have the drivers on XP with the Q10 and have had no trouble. I haven't heard of anyone else having trouble either with the official drivers.

Yeah, I have the official drivers going. The original problem I had (and still have) is that Windows Media Player (and any similar program) doesn't quite work right with these drivers - it freezes the program or responds VERY slowly. I've also found other minor quirks, like problems with the drivers locking up when trying to switch sample rates, etc.

When I reported the original Windows Media Player issue to Aardvark (a day or two after the drivers were released), they responded that they were aware of it and that they would address the issue in their next driver release, due in mid-march.

I love the product, but their driver support has been really awful and incredibly disappointing. I went from recommending Aardvark consistently to new buyers to pointing people to other products because of driver support and lack thereof. Even Aardvark's tech support and service has been great, but the fact that it took them until April 2002 to release Windows 2000 drivers is pretty bad...

I loved my LX6 setup, but honestly had to dump it for a Delta 44 because of the driver issue (I needed WinXP). "Dog Years" is a nice way of putting it. I listened to that siren song for much too long.
