Hi,
I was bummed that Aardvark went out of business.

Is there any support/forum, network of users out there?

Can the PC card that goes in my tower PC be somehow used with a notebook/laptop computer? Is there some peripheral adaptor for this purpose?

Thanks,

Mark

lol you're way out of luck there. There is no such adaptor. At least that I've ever seen and I use to major in computers, work on corp servers and all that fun stuff.

I had a Q10 for a few weeks before i knew anything about anything and i regret selling it, amazing quality but i think i had some driver issues so prob for the best.....

recording on laptops just....isnt good unless you have a damn good laptop. they just can't process like a desktop can. I wouldn't invest into it...personally.

They make them, but they are very expensive!

Almost a grand! Not very cost effective if all you want to do is stick your PCI Soundcard into your laptop. :D

Very cool, thats for that education. Sadly...yeah...its a grand. haha. There is completely no reason for that crap. If they promoted it more it would sell more and bring that cost down. I'd totally buy one, have a few things that would it would be great for.

I'm using 2 Q10s (or trying to) and have found a lot of info there.

What part of the U.P. are you from? I lived up there until I was 16.

I thought you were talking to me! I couldnt figure out where i Posted i was from the U.P. But i am to, going to college at Northern Michigan University. hey markyoung you going here too or am I just a young'n here? :D

I run the http://asg.hopto.org website... the yahoo group in the "forums" section has about a thousand members.

when I get some time I'll be experimenting with my Q10 on ReactOS to see of I could just use it as a preamp... I now use DeMuDi Linux and an Edirol FA-66.

...and for those interested Mr. Levin ran off to California and started a different company called Antelope...

Thanks for all the replies folks, and fellow Aardvark users.

I'm in Iron Mountain, MI -- 2hrs North of Green Bay. I've gigged up in Marquette (Northwoods supper club, Flanagan's, and maybe something else. Lots of times in Escanaba, but mostly close to home...
Peace,

Mark
