I looked for answers to this but never found a specific ...answer
Now that i gave up the 4track tascam for pccomputing I can't get some signals to sound "big" even though the recording level is "about right" using cooleditpro with soundbalster gold (hey it was free) to warm up to this and running all mic'd signals through the little art mic-pre. Besides my bad playing, why does everything sound sucky.
If you say soundblaster thats cool, if its some Analogue to digital thing I need to know. Would all be better if I used the little behringer mixer as the front-input and level insurance,,,,or is that overkill for keeping things simple? shanks much.
