I just got a G4 which doesn't have scuzzy, therefore it will never mingle with my 880ex unless its the USB-to-MIDI deal(true or false?).

My old Mac (a PowerMac 8500 with a bunch of memory) is gatherin dust. So tell me... in what ways can I combine the power of my 8500 with my 880ex (bein that there both scuzzy and all)? Can I fill the mac with song data? Can I use the mac's monitor to view info from the 880ex's tiny LCD? How do you do that? Are there cool programs I don't know about for Mac that work with the 880? Set me off in a good direction, I know someone out there knows the deal.
I also have an MPC2000. Is there anyway I can hook that up to the 8500?

I hate to see all that memory just relaxing. I'd love to be able to start up my MP have the system install itself automatically !!!> as well as have access to all my sounds and programs etc at once. Is this possible?!

Thanks for your time, o' knowledgable ones,
nat

PS. what exactly do I need to do the USB-to-MIDI deal? expain like I'm a layman.
