hey...fun video...but I didn't get up and salute though:D

a little bit of everything there....wah, tapping, volume knob...

I really enjoyed it and you did good (and the crowd agreed also, it sounded).

nice git...and the shades....how do you see indoors with them?:p

oh...at the end, looked like the photographer was panning for chicks...but was not sucessful... oh well..that's another video, I suppose:eek:

Thanks Mix :)

Hehe .. the shades have light blue lens' .. It kinda makes things brighter. I should probably spend more time on my mixes than my glasses :)

The video is a little over an hour, I just edited that part out.

I might post the 'girls gone wild' unedited version... A girl jumps out from the crowd onto the stage and starts singing with the singer -not sober, but cute- seriously!

Were you able to stream the video? Its ~17 Mb so she probably took awhile

I have a cable hookup...and I let it "get going" a bit (like a minute or two) before I started to stream it. It wasn't D/L'ing fast enough to keep ahead. But hey...read another post while it did so...come back...presto!

........cool stuff J-the-Luthier.
......tell me more 'bout the walnut axe. It sounds great! .......fresh and functional body design.... How much of it did you build? Is it a neck-thru? I couldnt tell from the vid. Im impressed man  . Im off to a local specialty woods place next weekend to check out what they've got for the bass body that i mentioned. Im not sure what i can get yet, so my decision will probably be made there. I'll let ya know what happens.
some nice patriotic soundin wood ! :D

cool looking guitar..i'm impressed.

fun video to watch. ahh...home movie.

reminds me of some of my old ones, that little smattering of applause that still sounds so nice when you are on stage. hehe.

I have a vid covering some beatles songs..and U2...and...who knows, other crap...maybe I should post some day ;)

nice work.

Good Job, J Marcomb.

However two points that I must bring up:

1. Your Bass Player looks like he really has to take a leak at the start there...Don't electrocute him.

2. I heard a loud "WOOOH!" about 1:53 into the tune.
That's awesome that your Dad came out to support you.

Groovy clip!
Thanks for sharing it!

:D

Another player that makes ya feel like goin back to the piano :):) Nice chops JM.

jus had to show off that fretboard tapping :D ;) Yep; you're a rock star ;) In the words of Billy Corgan it wasn't all "jack-off soloing".

:D  ;)

 ;)

Hey!... thats the walnut guitar I was telling you about before... I couldnt find one piece of walnut that size.. so I bought 2 pieces from the custom wood shop in town and dowled them together and made that work. I didnt have the purpleheart/maple neck done at the time, so I was using one of the Ibanez necks that I have. Which is now back on that guitar because it feels best. When I get more time I'll perfect a good one :) This guitar is very!!! Heavy ... so heavy, that its unenjoyable to play because its like having a piano around your neck. Awsome resonation/ bad comfort ..balance. Let me know how your guitar comes along .... I'll help ya all that I can if you run into problems or questions.

wes

hey thanks alot.... Id would really like to see ya jamming those beatles/U2 songs... that would be really cool! Yes... recording a jam is great!!! You get to learn from your mistakes and learn to communicate with the crowd better. We have a great friend that would film our performances.

Village Idiot

:) Ya those damn bass players! They drink too many beverages before a performance.
hehe ... that Wooh! was unfortunatly not my pops... It was a weeknight jam, so people were acting a little goofy. :)

:) Thanks alot for the great words! Ya know... I listen to great guitarists every day and don't think they are a million times better than me.... you have to think on the positive side. Like, Hmmm... what can I do or add to my style to sound better than them. The grass will always be greener elsewhere... just use different fertilizer! ;)

No streaming involved, you couldn't possibly stream this clip unless you had a perfect 1MB/s connection! This is strictly DLAPB.

Anywho, I'd be happy to convert this into a much smaller file for you, without losing much (if any) quality!

Hey Waldo..

I figured you were pretty busy ... so I ended up downloading Red Hat Linux and I'm running it on the server. I cannot believe how stable it is running now! Still hasnt had to be rebooted :) Most importantly .. no viruses! :) Was a little hard too get used to at first... like accessing files across different flatforms on the network. It's also great having the flexiblity between a GUI and command line :) I could really get into that... but I must first focus on music :) I was going to use Mpg4 for greater compression, but Im not to sure about compatibility issues? I'm using Ulead Video Studio 5.0 that I got with my firewire card... Should do the trick... dont ya think?

Yeah, even I got the Ulead stuff on my machine, good enough to do just about anything!

You will run into issues where people can't play Mpeg-4 back, but they can fix it simply by installing a codec. DIVX is common and available for *nix, Wndows and Mac OS.

Still can't stream it though! WM v8 compression is pretty durn good, but alas, only compatible with WMP. I usually wind up providing a couple versions...

Good to hear you got a *nix box running. I don't use any GUI stuff on my servers, just slows it down more, but then, I'm uber persistent about efficiency! Still wanna mirror some streams?

W.

Not quite ready on the streams, but the first thing will be to install the shoutcast DNAS and get it running.

I'll shoot you the config and extras when we're ready.

Nice job Kramer!

The video side took a little hit, but thats pretty darn good for around 1 Mb. Thanks.

yep,it took a little quality hit for the sake of size ,but it'll at least give the dial-ups a chance to check it out.

It turned out ok though being that it did shrink from about 18 megs down to a little over 1 meg.;)
