I had two very good friends move out of state last month. I have been really bummed out lately. This was the inspiration for this track. I played all the guitars/drums and programmed the synth stuff. I make no claims of being a drummer so take it for what it is.
Any feedback is welcome, just felt like sharing.

Cool. Nice music, nice production.

Some of the synth stuff in the middle isnt working. It sounds like mistakes, it took me a minute to figure it out. Its buried, so the little that is coming through sounds wrong. PArticularly around 1:04, those synth notes sound like weird artifacts.

Other than that, a thoroughly enjoyable listen.

I was really "taken" with this song. I feel you really nailed the feeling of losing / missing friends who ain’t dead, just gone. Dude!

I can hardly hear the synth so I cannot comment much on that part. The rest sounds pretty well recorded, played and mixed though. The panned parts in the intro are super!

I'd love to listen, but my soundclick has issues with my ISP.... I did hear the first few seconds... sounded pretty cool to me. Another kinda cool thing is that I saw you gear listed on your soundclick page, and we have the same monitors, monitor amp, and software!

Peace!

That was cool. Love the guitar harmonies in the piece. The only nit I have is it's not long enough. :D Good stuff.

DavidK- thanks for listening. I will re-examine the synth notes you mentioned.

BHOD- thanks for the feedback, glad to hear the emotion came through.

Dogman-thanks for listening.

Ido1957-thanks for checking it out.

Eyema_Believer- thanks for trying to check out the tune. I actually just upgraded to Audition 3.0. I didn't think 2.0 was worth the cash but there are some cool new features in 3.0 worth checking out.

Cmhansen- thanks for listening. It is short but it was just one of those songs that happened all in one sitting. I don't know that it is something I will go back and expand on.

I really like this piece. The abrupt ending is a tad unusual!
The guitar harmonies are quite nice.
The only nitpick I have is the snare sound. It's just too boingy/open for my taste.

All in all, a very nice recording and tune. Thanks for sharing.
