The Pie Guy
This is a work in progress.
I am trying ot compose music for it.
I sorta have a "Impossible Dream" kind of melody in mind.
I am in the process of learning how to play a synth so, it is going pretty slow.
Any critique would be appreciated.
This was written for a female voice.
The subject of the piece is the Olympic games.
(some people have thought of this as a patriotic piece.)
The Best We’ll Ever Be

I’ve been here before
At least, in my dreams
I’ve heard the trumpets blare
I’ve seen the banners stream
Five rings to ride
Our dreams are now reality
Ride above the clouds on high
As fast as the brightest beam
Chorus #1
It’s now time to reach deep inside
It’s time to put us to the test
It’s time to set our sights
It’s time to do our best……..
This is our final chance
Our one and only chance
To be the best we’ll ever be
Instrumental (symphony)
Verse 2
Now the day is nigh and upon the champion’s tier
Stands the three who have set the mark
No doubts, it is so crystal clear
That they gave it all their heart
But, we are all winners today
The tales will be told forever more
In a proud and joyous way
Echoing the crowds din roar

Of the day, that we were all the best….
The best, we could ever be…….

We reached down deep inside
We put it to the test
We set our sights on high
Truly, we are all the best
