Later Days - The Story of Jemery
We Used to walk down the very hallway
Like we'd done so many times before
fucking with the combinations
in the middle of the corridor
There were days we didnt see him
and there were days he showed up late
there were rumors hes a psycho
they took no time to circulate
Well the papers flew across the room
Notes were passed from seat to seat.
He walked in with his head hung low
He sat down slowly and discrete.
The teacher eyed him as he walked in the classroom
"Dont ever come to class late agin"
He got up and made his way to the doorway.
The class chuckled and shaked their Heads.
I watched him as he ran out the hallway
I could see the guilt and shame in his eyes
Was it because he never got no attention?
or because he was always critisized?
Was it because his life had no direction?
or was he just a little fucking punk?
was he overwhelmed with rejection?
it seems he'd finally had enough.
The next day he walked into the classroom
there was an empty look in his eye
he waved his hand to get our attention
and in a moment everyone was terrified.
The screams peirced the ears of hundreds
as his body slid down to the floor
His blood trickled down the chalkboard
he'll be rememberd now forever more.
The panicked people ran through the building
sobs echoed through the corridor
me I just sat and remembered
that kid I'd met just months before.
Well I guess now he's got what he wanted.
the whole city is all distraught.
all the giggles are replaced with tears
there is a lesson here to be taught.
