A song for my daughter

Sounds good to me. Very boomy on the bass though.

I like the song, its mellow, yet toe tappin'. Can't wait to hear the redo.

Here's a new version I did last night. I re-recorded the clean guitars with a warmer and fuller sound, and I re-did the main melody and threw in a couple subtle harmony parts. This may still be a little too bassy - I didn't notice it on my monitors. (Time for some room treatment and new monitors! :p )

I like the richer gtr tone (s) on the new version. Mix sounds to me a little hot in the 100-200 Hz range.

Nice! I like the harmonies! there's a couple places where you pushed the bends sharp, but no biggie. Terrific tune!

Metaldude...I hate you, you Demon spawn from Satan's ass..... :p

Metalhead, this is awesome. Your daughter will love this when she's old enough to appreciate this type of music. I like the touch of pinch harmonics.

Reminds me of Satriani.

My ears want a tad bit more delay and reverb in the earlier parts - just like how it already sounds around 2:59.

I like this a lot!

Well played & well expressed.
Metal has always had an expressive side and not just the sappy power ballads that made the 80's so awful.
This has some lovely tones and a lot of nice melodic ideas.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
Llarion, I didn't notice the sour bends - but I'll be taking a good hard listen...thanks. ;)

I take that back. It's actually pretty obvious...I think the harmonized sound was tricking my ear a little. :o

It's OK man; in the jazz world, you just say, "Hey, I was chromaticizing, and exploring quarter-tone harmonics".... :)

I like that. :D

Man, I love that lead tone in the beginning.

You, sir, are a really good guitar player. /jealous/

I'm gonna play this one for my son tomorrow, I bet he digs it.

Ahh, there's that tone again.

I like how you slip away from notes at the end of phrases.

That is some pretty nice playing metalhead28. Your daughter has to love this.
