well...I'll go ahead and review it then;) ("thank you, Chris")..."you're welcome, Chris..."

>Nice stereo sound efx in the beginning...and they're real too...no sound font clips either....but I kept the equip. dry...
>drums sound ok for fakies.....I can hear how the mp3 encoding screwed up the snare sound, however...
>nice instrumentation, and I like the reverb tails on the vocals...
>nice deep tom sound...
>bridge seems to work actually, WITHOUT the use of a solo instrument...comes to a good head, before the last verse. Nice dry vocals at the end of the bridge..
>Hey...this doesn't really [have to] sound like a praise/worship, kinda wishy-washy, love Jesus, love God song...!

well...as the writer/instrumentalist, those were how certain elements hit me in the song.

Remember Noah ...

The intro reminded me of a black sabath tune .. called "black sabath".
.. yeah I know the styles are opposit, but yours sounds better!

Love the rain and wind .. blended very nicely.
let's not talk about the drums . hehe.
The verb on the voice is very tastefull. .. great job.
The overall mix sounds very pro. I had to listen to it with headphones though ... quite the experience. :-) (so i can't really judge the mastering.)

The guitar is very clean and distinct.
The tone of each distinct element is very 'distinguishable' .. (does that make sense? .. ey well)

The church organ made me think of a violin? .. must be the flangy effect.

The low frequencies really filled out the tune quite aesthetically.

gottaw love the lyrics.

You'll live again baby.
Awesome job.

thx Tristan for the listen and your comments...I REALLY DO appreciate it.

btw...they're are violens with the church organ...maybe why it made you think of them.

ahh .. well i feel like an idiot.

let's blame it on the headphones shall we!

you do nice work. i hope you share this with people in your home town.

Mix,

My first thought exactly. ;)

My second thought, another very cool song by mixmkr. This song goes very well with the other song "Trust." (which is still my favorite mixmkr tune so far.) You have a very cool style and it always sounds good. I have to be careful though, if I keep listening to your tunes, I just might end up learning something.:)
Your melodys are cool. Great job, just like everything I hear from you.

later.

Mix, GREAT sound. I used to have acces to a foley sound effects library (20 CDs worth of every imaginable sound) and it was EASY to get carried away with them. You've used it to good affect. The ONLY thing I'm not crazy about is the vocal. It's recorded fantastic, its her voice. It sounds to me like she's JUST barely off pitch in spots and she doesn't sing with conviction, ya know what I mean? As always, I'm taking this to a fine point here, she's good, the music is just better. Over all, it's still better than most.

This sounds like it would make a good childrens song for Sunday school. There isn't much interesting to me personally going on here unfortunately. I kind of like the thunder and rain in the beginning.

BUT: I do think this would make a great children's song. The production is fine.

I had a listen to both,

Great songs, well written and played. What parts were yours?

Recording sounded big and clean.

Now the big drawback for me, was the female singer, to me her style comes off sounding very insincere. I hope that's not you mixmkr, don't want to hurt feelings.

Don't take offence, because I feel this way about many female vocalists, a lot of them don't sound like they have much soul, no what I mean?

Other than the singer not being my cup of tea,

Great work!!

I've been meening to listen to this song for a few days, but NWR kept crashing... anyway...

The special FX are great. Tastefully done.
I actually like the female vocalist. I think it's that type of voice that fits religious/spiritual shows. I don't know if that's what you were aiming for, but I can definitly see this song played on one of these "Hey kids! Let's learn about Jesus!" TV shows.
Great production!

By the way - since this song (and your previous post) are old-testament related, they also work for Jewish music-education.
If it sounds interesting, E-mail me or something. I might have several ideas.

b sabbath....thanks for your positive remarks...we don't want you to learn anything, however;)

t rat...again thanks...I'd sure like a copy of those 20 CDs if you ever find them....however, this was 'Kentucky thunder" this time. About 1/4 of the people have some remark about the singing, and not too much about the music...as far as negative...We're working on it, is all I can say...

rats....I've got a 20 minute version of "Genesis" specifically geared towards the kids, but it would probably put you sleep...which is kinda another genre I seem to be skidding into...sleepy, mood music....:o (yawn) thanks for the listen

GT..(see response to track rat). I played, wrote the tunes, and had a 62 yr old friend sing them for me. Should you be curious, I have a picture of us at: http://www.mp3.com/theupperroom

Oren ( or Aren?;) ) I appreciate your time, and a younger audience (like kids) would be a great audience, in my book. I'd love to hear about your ideas. (see response to rats, too)
