A shot break and ..'Story time...

Got a weird one tonight. Stand up bass in the mix, this one note (high 'C I think) frickin just drops out. I figured it was probably getting canceled, and it had to be the kick right.
Bass totally comes back with a polarity flip.
Page up to the drums- no kick there -just a snare hit but.. WTF?
The two snare mics out, master comp out, no difference. ..Enough. Could have been the guitars.

Well it turned out to be primarily one of the guitars I had actually punched the attack up right there earlier. Once that was 'nulled back out the phase didn't matter. But I also got caught with a bit of dip in the room there- and the original blend, plus polarity' for what ever reason just nuked that note where I was sitting.
