A short instrumental theme song...

Another cool, and wild ride, Snake. The harmonics in part of it are way wild. That was an abrupt ending. Threw me off.
Cool tune.

Thanks Dog. Glad I sent the dog on a wild ride ;) I was having some fun with panning and volume fades all over the song and with the harmonics. There's also instruments taking over each other's parts and so on...

I used to have an ending like the intro... I was wondering where that went, I might have deleted it

Sort of a "Chinese" feel to the start - cool - maybe ninja  . Then the distorted guitar/lead comes in and takes it off to another dimension - probably where the thieves live right? :D Cool wah distortion - what are you using for that effect? Drums mixed in good - l like the snare sound on this because it drives the tune along. Solo goes over the top man, at the end.
Short and Sweet :D :D

Another signature SnakeD production. I always get something from your tunes. Original and imaginative, dude.

Cool tune man, you have a unique style.
Killer titles and very live and spacy recordings, really cool.
I love those modulated\verby guitars man :)

great tune

Hey guys, I'm slow getting back here, but thanks a lot for the listens ;)

Ido,
extreme shady ninja type stuff was what I was going for :D The lead actually just has a lot of my wah pedal... my guitar sounds like that when I play the power chord up high and slide it with the wah pedal, for example the first part of the riff at :57 is

RAMI,
the ramster is back! back in black! Anyway, that's cool, glad you get something out of my tunes. I don't usualy finish a track unless I'm getting some emotion out of it, but since I'm like the only one who knows the stories behind these things I always wonder if anyone else would get something out of it. It's kind of like they could form their own story or something.. i don't know.

The Nak Attack,
thanks man. For the modulation stuff, I spaced things out in the mix and then had parts moving around in the stereo field during the song. Like just for the fun of it here's a screen shot... the red lines are panning envelopes

Whats going on man. Listening while typing. Really like the guitars in this one. Was hoping that tambourine would stay in , I love those things. Cool lead work as always, drums sound pretty raw..i dig it. The melody is real nice through out man, cool song. Love that cowbell... er tambourine.

Thanks man! Yeah I think recently I've ended up adding tamborine to all my chorus parts. I love the sound it adds to the chorus. I also need to pull that cowbell off the wall and get that in there too.

Wild track Snakedog5050. Like a lot louder than everything else I just listened to too. Not a bad thing, just a comment for you. Geez, I have to listen to this again just because it's so short. That's ok too. Good job with all the panning by the way, that sounds cool on headphones. That lead at 40 seconds might be cluttered and low. I love the drum sound. Big and spacious, mysterious! Good playing and musical vision :)

Interesting piece Snakedog. I like it, especially the gtr tone at the beginning, the timing change with the drumset entry, the room sound of the drums, and the tambourine. I tried adding tambourine with a similar rhythm to a track once and gave up because my wrist got kind of spastic after a few bars. Cool bass line at :54.

Cool guitar sounds (as usual ;) ) on this Snakedog! How do you do your drums?I always like the raw sound you get on your drums. Are you gonna make this one longer?Sounds like there is some potential there to stretch out a bit...coming from a fellow guitarist point of view of course :D !
Nice job.

Hey Tim, Variaxman, Dolphin, thanks for the listens and comments! :)

My instrumentals keep getting long lately, I thought I'd at least try to write a shorter one, like a theme song. I'm probably not going to extend this indivdual track, but I might continue the same theme and sounds/tones with another song.

I put together the drum track on this one using Simon Phillips classic rock pack...actually almost every song I've written in the last year uses some combination of that pack. Here's the link if you want to check it out http://www.sessionloops.com/index.html Oh yeah, and for this track I messed around with reverb on the drum track a bunch too.

Thanks again guys. and Tim, yeah I don't know why but I've had a hard time resisting adding tambourine to everything lately :D Cheers
