ok,

i got a Roland mc303 groovebox
and i got my Roland E38 keyboard connected to it,
normally i only use the E38 for the keyboard, not for the sounds

but now i just wanted to hear both of them,

this is how i set up everything

E38 --> midi out --> groovebox
E38 --> stereo analog output --> mixing desc
MC303 --> stereo analog output --> mixing desc

so now i play on my keyboard and hear TWO sounds at the same time, which is nice, but it sounds OUT OF TUNE !
no matter which instruments i select, doesn't help anything

now i wonder,,how come? its two roland machines, they should be tuned the same way...or is some sort of weird black magic going on in my room?

anyone expierienced this before?

thanx !

Check the global tuning values of both machines (Not sure where exactly on these machines it would be, but usually in the same place as global MIDI channel, Local ON/Off etc.) Make sure both machines are globally tuned to the same note (A440 in almost all cases). Also check that they are not globally transposed differently (also, usually located near the global tuning options), or if they are in steps of 12 +/- (or other intervals, if you want to play different harmonies, etc.). Hope this helps!
