First time poster in this thread....I was wondering if one of you semi-professionals would do me a favor. I've recently recorded a band (live, in a warehouse where they practice) I work in broadcasting, so i work with similar equipment, however, This is my first attempt at this type of recording. Despite limitations with respect to microphone quality and cables, I was able to get a decent stereo recording. I used a mackie 1402 VLZ mixer, with the main outs sent to a standard piece o' crap tape deck, and the aux outs sent to the PA so the band could hear themselves. The vocals and the bass suffered the most because of technical limitations, which is noticeable. When I got the tape home, I put the recording onto my extremely antiquated computer and toyed with it in cool edit, but not to my liking. Now for the request: Would anyone be so kind as to attempt to "master" this song? I realize the mistake I'm making when I say "mastering", but you know what I mean. I don't have the song to up load at this time, but I will tonight, so any takers could reply in the meantime. If this is highly inappropriate, some one please tell me, and I will certainly make a note of it.
