A really simple song.

Good work, Xito,

The piano is very expressive and played well, but the patch sounds a little hollow. Vocals are delivered with passion (haven't a clue what they are saying because I don't speak Spanish) and sit out in front of the mix as they should.

The orchestration is a nice addition and works well until it swells to a volume level that the vox is competing with. At that same time the harmony or "aside" vocal gets completely lost because the strings are too loud.

With a little more mixing of the levels, you should have a very polished piece.:)

Bueno.

Not my kind of thing stylistically, but well done nonetheless. You have a nice voice and your delivery is very expressive. I like the reverb on the vocals. I think the mix sounds pretty good although I have zero experience with this sort of music.

I'm listening through the cans right now, so keeping that in mind:

There's a nice level balance between all the elements, IMO, but there is a * slight * and I mean slight, lack on cohesiveness between them all. Passionate, yes, professional, yes, but I wonder if the whole thing wouldn't become special if a second set of ears took a crack at making everything gel (tiny eq adjustments, maybe tiny compression and reverb adjustments, here and there).

Great job!!

Thanks guys, for those of you who has responded. This is the first song that i have ever recorded alone with my crappy equipment. Not bad, I think. Keep it coming.

I think the backup vocals could be done twice, and panned L/R to "surround" the main vocals. They seem a little unbalanced with the main vocals, and piano. Thta may make the mix more cohesive as mentioned previously. I think the levels are okay actually, just a slight balnce issue. Also the backup vocals' words are different form the main vocals' words so they will conflict some with the mains. Nice piece overall I like your arrangement and performance. Your gear seems more than adequate for the task!

:D:):D:)

I thought about doing that but I didn't cause I wanted a more minimalist approach. I may reconsider it and do it to see how it sounds.

my chain is CAD GLX3000 condenser > cheap ART tube pre > Foxtex MR8. That goes to Reaper for editing and mixing. The headphones are a $20 pair cheapos. That's why I say crappy equipment :D

Thanks for the listening and feedback.
