a random plug-ins thread

very excited about finally picking up (after constantly forgetting) the VST to RTAS wrapper by fxpansion...

had a bunch of older plug-ins i wanted to keep using in PT, but didn't want to buy them again in a different format...so anyways...

i'm looking for some really good compression plugs...what's everyone using these days? i've heard good things about the powercore plugins...but im not looking to pick up a DSP card just now.

what else is good out there these days?? any sweet eqs...reverbs...etc??

IMHO, the best EQ going is Algorithmix Linear Phase EQ.

Altiverb has just been ported to PC....

ive used waves shit in the past (3 years ago??) on a few projects at someone's studio and i was thoroughly unimpressed, especially with the price tag being so impressive

I passed on this one when it first came out and was half price, now I'm "hearing it" for some reason and just picked it up...go figure.

Colortone Pro by Tritone Digital - there's a free Colortone jr. It takes a bit of cpu to run but the color it pretty fun:
