Aloha,
Ehrm, my question is the following: which equipment/software would be usefull for my set up? To clarify, I'm playing bassguitar in a band, and we're thinking about getting another bassplayer, and me switching to the electronica. So, I was wondering. I'm a bit experienced with computermusic making (I've used Scream and Impulse Tracker for about 3 years now, and am recently playing with CoolEdit/Soundforge et cetera) and I don't have any MIDI equipment nor experience.
What I would like to do in the band, is to be able to receive input from the drummer by triggers, which I can use to adjust the tempo of the things I'm playing. That would be something ranging from pads/strings to drumloops, and anything in between. What I'm looking for is a piece of software what is able to play samples (duh), and what makes it possible to pre-listen the samples and makes me able to use effects on them.
I would really appreciate it if you can help me out... In the mean time, our songs are available through our website, http://listen.to/ctnation. No, that's not an ad, but an opportunity to listen to somewhat different music....
Thanks in advance,
Bart Zonneveld
