a question about multi-tracking

well i guess I am not that new, just young and quite ignorant to the subject. So my question is about drum recording. Using N-track studio. How can you get each drum to be one track? I use a PA head as a mixer, and it just makes the whole drumming one track. Anyone know how I can get each drum to be its own track? Thanks. Derek

You need to have a multi-input soundcard, and route each mic to it's own input of the soundcard.

mic2>>>mixer mic in2>>mixer group out 2>>>soundcardline in 2
etc etc
