Freshly installed mac osx 10.3 panther on a

1GHz PowerPC G4
1MB L3 cache
256 MB DDR SDRAM
(brand new spring 2003)

I install my legitimate copy of ProTools 6.0. (I have the Digi001)
Restart the computer.
Open and authorize ProTools.
Choose new session.

When the new session is launched, the screen dims and displays the "you must restart your computer" dialog box.

When restarted, ProTools will not open.
The icon flashes once into the dock, but does not stay.

If anyone has any insight into this, especially if i'm overlooking something obvious like the version of the software and compatibility with panther (which i remember hearing something about), please let me know just how stupid i am so i can fix this disaster.

:( Well the digidesign web site says that you have to have PT LE version 6.2.2, 6.2.3 or 6.4 to run on the Mac os x 10.3 panther, I guess you will have to upgrade your Pro Tools software. :) PT LE version 6.4 a free download for PT LE 6.0 owners, go here http://digidesign.com/ :) :) :D
