Working with their road manager was cool - funny thing though. When he told you to do something and that was the last thing to do like check a mic or a lighting cue he would say cheers to indicate that you where finished with that task and we went on to the next mic or light cue or what have you.

Whats funny about that henry? We use it all the time over this side of the pond to say "cheers for that"
Cheers is not just for beers lol.
Sounds like a lot of fun mate. Enjoy and get the beers in it must be your round by now. Sound guys usually have long pockets that dont get much use.

Ha. I know that it is about time that I travel to the UK and visit everyone for it is way past my time to purchase the next round.

And I'll have to brush up on the Queens English for sure ... The alternative to Cheers here in the US is some old fat redneck yelling *Get er Done*

Haven't you noticed that I sign "Cheers" under every post?

I was born in the UK but grew up in Oz, my wife was born in Nigeria (english/german parents) and grew up in UK and NZ and also worked in the UK before moving to Oz. She got me in the habit of signing everything off with Cheers. When we are in Germany (visiting the Schwiegermutter) it's "Prost" LOL.

Saying Cheers is one of the friendliest ways of saying thanks.
