A N00B Question

First off since this is my first post i want to say hi to all

I just started using battery for my drum samples
I use Cubase 3, and I'm trying to turn a MIDI track from "Stereo to MONO"

My question is when i load a kick drum in battery it is a Stereo sample i want to use all my drum samples as MONO samples but i can't figure out how to change this.
I don't want to use Stereo drum samples.

I did convert the sample into MONO first "Like In Sound Forge" before loading it into Battery? But i don't think it did anything.
or is there a setting to do this in Battery?

Or is it best to turn that drum track "Like The Kick Drum" In MONO in Cubase Which me and my friend have been trying to do for some days now...

I am a N00B at all of this, but i tried everything to change it to a MONO any help with this would be great!

MIDI isn't stereo or mono, midi is sheet music. You can play it with a mono or stereo vsti. Per a google search:

"BATTERY runs either stand-alone or as a VST™ plug-in on Macintosh and under Windows. It can be played and modulated via MIDI, offers full VST™ automation and supports all other common interfaces as well. Up to 32 outputs are available with Battery which can be flexibly configured flexibly as mono or stereo outs."

so it looks like you can set it up to give you mono tracks. I dont have battery drums, so I couldn't tell ya how..

I think that you can't change it to mono, but, you can go to the mixer and change the panning of each drum part as cymbals, snare, kick, hihat, ride, etc and put them in the center (pan 0). After that you can make a mixdown for the drum track into a mono track and that's it, you'll get your drums in a mono track.

I think that you can't change it to mono..

Mixing down each individual track is a lot of work, esp. when the specs say:

"...Up to 32 outputs are available with Battery which can be flexibly configured flexibly as mono or stereo outs."

I meant to make a mixdown for the whole song, so it would be only 1 mono track with the drums... is that what you want? or you want them to be separated in mono format?
