Yup, that will work. What software are you using. Just double check the documentation of your software and the documentation of the controller to be absolutely sure, but most controllers will work with most software.

Why not get three of these cost $600 instead of $800. Actually $800 is really good for that. Save $4 n buy it here, lol.

Is it possible to use this controller with Adobe Audition 1.5 or Mackie Tracktion?

I'm using Cubase LE, and I might upgrade to Cubase SX3 sometime over summer. Would it work with both of these?

Take care,
Adam.

will work with cubase for sure. I would hesitantly say yes for Tracktion and audition

Is this a good product? Are there ones that are better / cheaper? And how exactly does it work, if I might ask? Thanks for any input.

Take care,
Adam.

There are others. Whether they're better or not is in the eye of the beholder. Arguably Mackie Control is the best, and it's expandable, but it runs off of MIDI ports rather than USB, so you'll need an interface with multiple MIDI ports specially if you want to use the fader expansion kits. The Behr is not bad but the fader motors are noisy, so keep that in mind.

I'd say the Tascam is definitely a solid piece of equipment, if I had the money I'd go for it myself.

Thanks for the info man. Seems like the Tascam is the one i'll be putting my tax refund towards. =)

I am doing the same thing. I want to get a firepod and the behringer control surface. I was wondering if anyone knws how to connect the firepod and the behringer to the computer. Should I use the midi inputs on the behringer? Should I connect the firepod to the computer or the control surface?

If im right (and im probably not) the control surface doesnt actually have anything to do with the firepod, so they would both connect seperately to the pc. Im pretty sure you would just keep the firepod connected via the firewire and the control surface through usb or whatever. Because isnt the control surface just an easier way of contolling the software mixer, and isnt like a normal analogue mixer? Dont quote me though, cos im probably wrong.

Depends if the CS is midi or usb.

usb - straight into the pc.
midi - via the soundcard
