A missing feature that I think hurts Sonar...

It may just be my opinion, but I really think Sonar should have some kind of deal built in similar to Wavelab.
This would be cool to do in Sonar...
Go to "open new CD project"
A window opens and you name the project, its a 2 track editor with all the normal facilities and a stacking deal where you can add and subtract songs to go in the project.
Then, I either hit "add songs" and get a box that lists all the sonar projects, or I can open a project and click "add to current CD project" and it adds it automatically.
It will do all this for you without the trouble of bouncing each individual song down by yourself. Maybe it'll give you the option to add the bounced down track to the project it came from, which could be useful sometimes.
Good idea? You could add an overall compressor, limiter, dithering, etc and burn a CD straight from Sonar.
This would be good.
The current method is too slow when bands say "can we get a rough mix before we leave?" I always have to talk them out of it or else sit there and waste forever bouncing them down and exporting and moving to wavelab abd blah blah blah, too much work.
With this new method you could even move each song to the CD project as you finish it, before starting a new one, that way at the end of the session you can click a button and get a quick CD of the rough mixes so you can be on your way.
Too cool.
Peace.

sounds like you need to check out samplitude 7...for audio its PHENOMENAL when you get the hang of it....the Freeze function is GOD SENT....midi isn't as intuitive as sonar..and doesn't seem as powerful...the only thing is it doesn't import or export to omf unless u buy a program (cuibono EDL convert pro ver 3). so going back and forth w/o it will be painstaking, but the stock efx are way better then sonar...and i THINK it sounds 'better' as well...and it does all that CD stuff you want...and i've found it way more stable then sonar...sonar seems more 'prosumer' while samplitude seems more 'professional' IMHO....

sonar still kicks ass for producing!

i use samplitude master, which is a 2 stereo track version of the full samplitude. it is quite awesome. it would be cool if sonar had CD burning built in... if they do it right.

Cakewalk sells Pyro seperately to create CDs.

On the topic of features in Sonar that are missing: I want a feature to increase font size of the markers in Sonar. When recording a guitar or whatever, you usually sit some small distance away from the screen and those small little fonts are impossile to follow.
