Beautiful guitar playing!

whats that weird clicking sound at the start? your pick or your fingers?

This song would set the mood anywhere.

i like the reverb on the lead even though it is a bit over the top.

Didn't expect this , so was nice.

Cheers

Nice recording, nice guitar playing. I play a '94 Taylor 410, and recorded multiple taylors (even some grand audit's like your 414), and I found that with them it's tough to record the hi notes without sounding tinny... you did a really good job there - sounds very smooth and full, without any muddiness.

Good mood song. My personal preference would be for a shorter song, but just so you know, I have no attention span at all. With my ADD, I felt like it took a while for your playing to really ramp up and bust out (the beginning seemed a little repetitive to me).

I like the reverb on the lead as well...really I think the lead sounds exceptional.

How did you get the stereo effect on the other guitar? Is this played twice and panned to each side? Did you eq it somehow? It occurs to me that this effect might be achieved by turning the mic along the length of the guitar's neck, shame I hadn't thought of it before. Anyways, let me in on your secrets.

great tune.

THE CLICKING---- THE CLICKING!!

lLOL ;)
i think you're talking about the high harmonics..... i'm plucking harmonics on the beginning of the melody track, and it's a bit hot at the beginning....
depending on what you're listening to, it's more apparent.....
anyway, thanks for the complement...
yeah, the reverb's a bit thick, but i really wanted it kinda spacey and airy, and that seemed like a good choice at the time... i think if i mixed it again, i'd change it... everything was recorded dry, and the reverb and delay was added on the mixdown...

Paco-
thanks for listening...
i know what you mean about those taylors.... i had to move around quite a bit to find the sweet spot where it wasn't so bright...
ADD- that's tough, yeah, i'd be losin' it after about 2 minutes of mellow playing.... LOL

leavings-
there are 2 rhythm parts, seperate, left and right, they play somewhat the same thing, but i change up the fingering patterns between the 2.... so they're more complementary of each other rather than copying each other...the effect is a little reverb on the rhythms, and a bit of long delay on the melody....a lot of high end rolled off of the delay effect.....
it's simply a 3 guitar-part song.....
rhythm right, rhythm left, melody in the middle....
sorry, no secrets!

Schweet... The only thing I'd even "think" of doing would be to dip about a dB of 120 or so... However, that's probably just me.

Well done.
