Interesting!

I noticed one guy selling an M520 mixer and using one of the pictures that I modded from sweetbeats photos of his mixer!

Not sure how to take that?

And that 8516 is riddled with warnings from the seller about how bad its beat down. Read the fine print people! ;)

Cheers! :)

Oh yeah. I didn't catch that. I'd take it as a compliment. He has a picture of his board too. Nice board actually.

I saw that about the Teac. I'm NOT in the market right now anyway. ;)

Yeah, I saw some of that stuff. My MSR-16 was up there a couple of times, but I was able to sell my 388 on there about a month ago.

Last January I made the plunge and bought an MS-16 for $700 or $800 (can't remember exactly which figure right now) that came with a spare parts machine, the autolocator, a modified remote in order to arm and sync tracks remotely, and the rack. Allegedly the spare parts machine had been used by Godsmack to record their first album at New Alliance Studios.

A lot of MS-16's have been coming up for sale recently. There have been a few on eBay, a few locally now, and of course Ghost's machine.

Jeez!

No wonder no one is biting on my MS-16. :o

I had no idea some of them were being sold off so cheaply.

Cheers! :)

I could have used that TASCAM roll-around rack a week ago.

Hold on to it unless you have absolutely have to sell it. MS-16's used to never come up, and yours is in excellent shape and should command a premium price.

Yeah, you'd think so but most of the buyers out there search the world over for the cheapest price, disregarding the condition of the machine and then expect me to sell it for the lowest price they've found. One yoyo offered me 500 bucks for it last week because he claimed he saw one selling that cheap somewhere else...though he wouldn't give me a link to where he saw that so I told him to go buy the 500 buck one and wished him good luck.

Luckily for me, I am not in dire straights to sell it. It would just be nice to get rid of it as I'm not recording any more and it would be one less thing to pack if I wanted to move to more affordable housing.

Cheers! :)

I'd love to have the rolling rack, but I don't have ears on any one of my Tascam decks. Why is it that Pioneer had the ears cast as part of the machine and Tascam didn't attach ears as a default?:p I'd LOVE to get my hands on that M520 though. After seeing Cory's, those things are just a work of art, just to look at.;)

Nice score! I know a couple of those guys from Godsmack. I thought they had recorded it at Rivers Edge in Haverhill though.
