can I ask what you're using for strings?

If you're talking about the high-pitched strings I used in the intro, I used "Weeping Dragon" from the New Age Ensembles of EastWest Goliath.

I was planning on using the strings from Symphonic Orchestra, but they just didn't sound right.

As usual your voice is beautiful on this one, Jon. The harmonies are top quality. Your talent surpasses any faults that the recording might have. Wish it was longer....:)

Joe :):):):)

Thanks Joe!! :D

First time I heard chamber music on this forum! So this is just a test? Sounds great to me. Just a humble suggestion: Violin and piano should sound more even, there's some parts that I feel the violin (panned left) is getting "buried" in the mix.

PS: I'm hearing more of your music right now!

Thanks killthepixelnow! Yes, it's just a test. I'm still learning my software and figuring out how to get a good sound from the microphone so I'm just playing around with it making some tests. Thanks for the suggestions! I'll keep that in mind when I make the actual version. I posted other test clips on that soundclick account.

I was wondering...besides some of the off-tune notes in the vocals, do the vocals sound "studio-ish"? I'm recording in an untreated room and am trying to compare the difference with professionally-produced recordings. Not really sure if putting blankets around would make a big difference or if there's any further processing I need to do in the DAW.

Thanks again for listening! :D
