Although there are still no details, in the wake of Don Leslie's passing, on Friday, 3 September 2004 at the age of 93, here is something I've had bookmarked, concerning the "feud" between Mr. Leslie and Hammond organ inventor Laurens Hammond.

Although my 'Organs In Orbit' CD is in Jacksonville, FL, while I'm home on leave, I'm certainly going to be listening to it, upon my return, as my personal tribute to Don Leslie. For those of you that don't already know, it was Don Leslie, and his rotary speaker cabinets, that was responsible for what we call "the Hammond sound."
